Washington: International Monitoring Fund (IMF) head Kristalina Georgieva has said that in 2023, most of the world will be affected by inflation.
According to the world news agency, the head of the IMF has said that the 10-month-long Russia-Ukraine war, inflation and interest rate hikes around the world, along with the new wave of Corona from China, will cause a storm of recession.
He said that there will be more economic difficulties in 2023 than in 2022, America and Europe will be directly affected by it.
The head of the IMF believes that one-third of the world will suffer from the economic crisis due to the economic slowdown of America, Europe and China, and as a result, countries with better economies will also be affected.
He says that in 2023, the growth rate is likely to be 2.7%, compared to 2.7% and 6% in 2022 and 2021 respectively.
Christina Jarjeeva says that the public protest against the Corona restrictions in China and the consequent spread of Corona will not only affect the region but the entire world.
