Afghanistan: Explosion in the mosque of the office of the Ministry of Interior, 4 people were killed, dozens were injured

Kabul: A powerful explosion occurred in the mosque of the Ministry of Interior compound in the Afghan capital, in which 4 people were killed and 25 injured.

According to international news agencies, the explosion in the mosque of the compound of the Ministry of Interior in Kabul caused a stampede and the windows of cars parked nearby were broken. According to reports, the nature of the explosion could not be determined yet.

According to media sources, important officials of the Ministry of Interior and citizens who come for work also offer prayers in the mosque where the explosion took place. At the time of the explosion, a large number of worshipers were present in the mosque.

Afghan security personnel surrounded the office of the Ministry of Interior immediately after the explosion. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where 4 people were confirmed dead.

25 injured have also been brought to the hospital, of which 7 have been admitted to the intensive care ward, causing the death toll to rise. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
