Washington: 8 members of the same family including 5 children were killed in the shooting in the US state of Utah.
Police recovered the bodies of 8 people from a house in Enoch City, according to city officials, who did not say when the murders occurred.
All the bodies have bullet marks which prove that the death was caused by gunshots.
Nearby residents say the family attended church regularly, and authorities say it will be two days before they know what happened inside the home that left eight people dead.
Civil authorities said that at this time we do not think that there is any threat to the lives of other citizens and that any accused is absconding, but the investigation is on.
It may be recalled that the police recovered the bodies from the house during a ‘welfare check’, a welfare check conducted when citizens have been missing for days.
