Washington: 6 people have been killed in a shooting at Wal-Mart in Chesapeake, Virginia, and the suspect who fired has also been killed.
Chesapeake police have confirmed seven people, including the shooter, were killed in a shooting at the Wal-Mart on Sam Circle last night, the city authority said on its Twitter account, citing city police.
Police are still searching for victims who may have been injured or were inside the massive store, which has many hiding places, officials said.
According to the Chesapeake Police, the shooting happened at 10:12 on Tuesday night (8:12 on Wednesday morning American time). Tuesday’s incident is the latest in a spate of gun violence in the United States that has fueled the debate over tighter restrictions on gun access.
