FLORIDA: An American woman has earned a two-year degree despite being 25 years old, but she completed the acquisition process while online.
Joanne Donovan, 89, has a master’s degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University while online. He described it as a double joy when he was awarded the degree on Christmas Eve.
Joanne, who lives in Florida, hosted a housewarming party for the occasion and expressed her joy by wearing a graduation dress. He said that at the age of 16 she had passed high school but her family did not have money for further education. He got admission in a local college but could not continue it due to marriage.
However, when his children left home after marriage, he first did his bachelors at the age of 84, which covered a four-year course. She wanted to do Masters in Creative Writing but many universities refused her admission and now she has done Masters from University of New Hampshire which was online course.
Juan is overjoyed to have his wish come true and advises the new generation to never give up.
