Dubai: Chasing a target of 182 runs in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup T20, Pakistan defeated India by five wickets after a thrilling encounter.
Pakistan team has already achieved the target against India with one ball, the national team achieved the highest number of runs in T20I for the second time on the soil of UAE.
When Pakistan started batting, captain Babar Azam scored 14 runs and Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion after scoring 15 runs, after which a partnership of 73 runs was established between Muhammad Rizwan and Muhammad Nawaz, which ensured the victory of the team. After Mohammad Nawaz got out for 42 runs, Mohammad Rizwan also got out for 71 runs.
A partnership of 33 runs was established between Khushdil Shah and Asif Ali, but here Asif Ali was dismissed for 16 runs. On the fifth ball of the 20th over, Iftikhar Ahmed scored two runs to lead the team to victory.
After the victory over India, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Pakistan team while other political leaders also congratulated the national team.

An aggressive start was made by the Indian openers, but captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 28 and 28 runs respectively. Surya Kumar scored 13 runs and was dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz.
Rishabh Pant scored 14 runs and Hardik Pandya returned to the pavilion by scoring two runs while Deepak Hooda scored 16 runs and Virat Kohli was run out by scoring 60 runs. Pakistani leg-spinner Shadab Khan dismissed two players.
Pakistani fast bowler Shahnawaz Dhani is not available after suffering a side strain injury while Indian all-rounder Runder Jadeja is also not included in the team due to injury.
The Pakistan team included Mohammad Hasnain in place of Shahnawaz Dhani while four changes were made in the Indian team in which Hardik Pandya returned while Rishabh Pant, Deepak Hooda and Ravi Bishnavi were included.
