California: The governor of the US state of California, Gavin Newsom, has declared a state of emergency in view of the fear of a severe storm that will soon engulf the entire region.
Governor Newsom said that he is moving to protect the public from the negative effects of the storm, the purpose of declaring a state of emergency is to take immediate action to protect those living in the storm.
He said that people should avoid unnecessary travel in emergency situations and store food and water for three days, operate freezers and refrigerators only when necessary.
