Ottawa: Canada has banned the entry of top leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards into Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that more sanctions are being considered on Iran over its treatment of women and the downing of an international passenger plane in 2020.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced in a press conference the ban on the entry of the leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps into Canada, saying that Canada is considering more stringent sanctions on Iran.
Iran has faced international criticism for the protest movement that arose in Iran after Mahsa Amini alleged death in police custody and the violent measures taken by the Iranian administration to quell it.
