China angry over India-US joint military exercises

Beijing: China has expressed its indignation at the joint military exercises between India and the US on the Line of Actual Control, calling it an interference in the bilateral border issue.

According to the international news organization, India and the US will conduct joint war exercises under the name of ‘Yudh Abhyas’ from October 18 to October 31 on the highest peaks of the Indian state of Uttarakhand near the border of China, the preparations of which are in the final stages.

It should be noted that a lot of tension has been seen between India and China on this border for the last 2 years and both sides have deployed a large number of personnel and installed military equipment.

China has said on these joint military exercises that we have a dispute with India on this border for many years. US military exercises on this border with India will be interpreted as the intervention of a third party in a bilateral conflict.

However, India has clarified that China is not the target of joint military exercises with the US on the Line of Actual Control and this is a completely different matter from the situation between the two countries on the LC.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejecting China’s position, it has been said that this is not a matter of interference but is in accordance with the agreement reached between the two countries in the matter of Ladakh. China should abide by this agreement.

It should be noted that there is a 3,000 km long border between India and China from Sikkim to Eastern Ladakh and the Line of Actual Control is established in most of the area, but there are border clashes between the two.
