Commerce Ministry officials told the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce in a briefing that China is interested in importing donkeys and dogs from Pakistan.
While briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Trade, Commerce Ministry officials said that China is a big market for exporting meat. Dinesh Kumar, a member of the Standing Committee, said that China is asking Pakistan to export donkeys and dogs.
Officials of the Standing Committee said that China now wants to import donkeys from Pakistan while mentioning the neighboring friendly country China. Committee member Dinesh Kumar said China is asking Pakistan to export donkeys and dogs. China is a major meat export market.
Committee member Mirza Muhammad Afridi said that animals are cheap in Afghanistan, there is no buyer, meat can be exported from Afghanistan by importing animals. Importation of animals from Afghanistan is temporarily prohibited due to lumpy skin.
