China suspended the issuance of short-term visas for South Korea and Japan in its first reaction against the Corona restrictions.
The Chinese Embassy in South Korea says that the issuance of short-term visas for Korean and Japanese residents is being suspended.
On China’s initiative, the spokesperson of the South Korean Foreign Ministry says that the travel restrictions on passengers coming from China due to increased corona cases are based on scientific principles, and are discussing their position with China through diplomatic channels.
It should be noted that many countries, including the United States, Britain, India, and Japan, had imposed the condition of a negative corona test on travelers coming from China due to the spread of corona cases in China.
In addition, South Korea had refused to grant tourist visas to Chinese travelers.
