Cuba: Woman jailed for spying for America after 20 years 

Washington: Cuban spy Ana Montes, who was arrested in America during the Cold War, was released after more than 20 years.

According to the World News Agency, Ana Montes was a US citizen and was working as an analyst in the Defense Intelligence Agency. He was arrested in 2001 and sentenced to 25 years imprisonment.

There was a request for death penalty in the court but the judge sentenced Ana Montes to 25 years in prison. The court found Ana Montes guilty of endangering the American nation in its entirety.
It was also revealed in the court that Ana Monetas did this not because of the greed of money, but because of her sincere attachment to the Cuban ideals. She wanted to save Cuba from the United States.

Ana Montes said in one of her statements that she considers the whole world as one country where everyone should have the right to live their lives in peace and harmony.

65-year-old Ana Montes was released after four years of serving her sentence. They were among the most dangerous spies. Since she was a student, she had started spying for the United States for Cuba.

Ana Montes was accused of providing US military information and war strategy to the Cuban government that led to the US defeat in Cuba.
