Damascus: 70 people drowned when a boat of migrants from Lebanon to Europe for a better future capsized on the coast of Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an organization that monitors the situation of human rights in Syria, has reported that the number of dead has reached 70 when a boat of immigrants from different countries from Lebanon sank near the coast of Syria.
Told the world media that 23 people on the boat were saved from death during the rescue operation after the sinking of a migrant boat near the coast of Syria.
While trying to take 150 migrants from Lebanon to Europe, the boat capsized off the coast of Syria and the passengers woke up in the deep sea. Out of which 20 are under treatment in hospital and 3 are said to be in critical condition.
These immigrants left Lebanon two days ago to go to Europe, the economic situation in Lebanon is very bad and the government has also banned money withdrawal from banks.
