An incident of Muslim hatred has come to light in so-called secular India, after a customer on Swiggy food delivery ordered not to send food to a Muslim.
According to Indian media reports, a shameful incident took place in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana, where a user of Swagi Food Delivery demanded that a Muslim delivery boy not be sent to deliver the food.
A screenshot of the customer’s specific instructions on the Swiggy app was shared by Telangana State Taxi and Drivers Chairman Sheikh Salahuddin on Twitter, asking if anyone would take any action against the bigoted customer.
This is not the first time but in the past on another Swiggy food app, the customer rejected the order on the grounds that a Muslim delivery boy brought the food.
On the other hand, the company has not yet responded to the shameful incident.
Dear @Swiggy please take a stand against such a bigoted request. We (Delivery workers) are here to deliver food to one and all, be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh @Swiggy @TGPWU Mazhab Nahi Sikhata Aapas Mein Bair Rakhna #SareJahanSeAchhaHindustanHamara#JaiHind #JaiTelangana pic.twitter.com/XLmz9scJpH
