FIFA World Cup: England beat Wales to reach pre-quarter finals

England beat Wales in the Group B match of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

England beat Wales three-nil to advance to the pre-quarter finals of the World Cup. Two goals were scored by Rashford and one by Phil Foden. After that, the English team topped Group B with 7 points.

Wales are out of the World Cup after defeat by England.

The streets of the UK remained silent to watch the England Wales Football World Cup match, the match was named Battle of Britain. Citizens in England and Wales returned home early from their offices while many took the day off to watch the match, in addition to a large number of fans heading to bars and clubs across the UK.

According to media reports, football fans spent 215 million pounds on food and drinks and 75 million pounds on bars during the match.
