Doha: In the Group B match of the ongoing Football World Cup in Qatar, Iran defeated Wales after a sensational encounter.
Iran beat Wales 2-0. Iran scored both goals in the extra time of the game.
The Wales goalkeeper was sent off with a red card in the dying moments of the game, after which Iran took full advantage to score two goals to secure victory.
The Wales goalkeeper was shown a red card in the 86th minute, after which he was taken off and the substitute goalkeeper took over.
Taking advantage of this, Iran’s Cheshmi scored the first goal in the 98th minute to give the team the lead which Rezaian doubled in the 101st minute.

Iran has played two matches so far, out of which they have lost one and won one, they are second with 3 points while England are first. Two teams from each group will qualify for the next round.
It should be noted that Iran is at 20th place while Wales is at 19th place in the world ranking.
