Doha: The final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is to be played between Argentina and France on Sunday, but several French players have fallen ill before.
According to the British broadcasting organization, before the final against Argentina, the players of the French football team fell ill due to flu.
According to reports, French footballer Davit Pamicano and midfielder Adrien Rabiot were unable to play the semi-final against Morocco due to flu, while now Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate have also fallen ill due to which they did not take part in the training session.
The French Football Federation has confirmed the players are sick.
Officials say that the sick players have isolated themselves in hotel rooms while they are being treated by doctors.
According to the team doctor, the players in Qatar live in an air-conditioned environment all the time, due to which they got the flu, an effort is being made to prevent the spread of the flu virus in the team.
On the other hand, Argentina’s star footballer Lionel Messi’s participation in the final of the FIFA World Cup against France was questioned.
According to foreign media reports, on Thursday, Lionel Messi did not participate in the training session of the team due to a hamstring injury.
According to reports, Messi is not 100% fit after the semi-final against Croatia and hence he did not participate in the training session.
It is hoped that Messi will be fit to play in the final against France on Sunday and make his final World Cup memorable by winning the trophy.
