Floods and landslides in Nepal killed 33 people, injured dozens

Kathmandu: 33 people were killed and dozens injured due to floods and landslides in the western province of Nepal.

According to foreign media, heavy rains have caused havoc in the north-western province of Karnali in Nepal, to avoid which thousands of residents have left their homes and moved to safer places.

Heavy rains caused flooding in the province which damaged hundreds of houses and killed 33 people. 22 people affected by the flood are still missing while dozens are injured.

Rescue officials say that they are facing difficulties in carrying out rescue operations due to continuous rain in the mountainous areas.
