Berlin: In Germany, 25 people, including ex-soldiers, have been arrested on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government.
According to British media reports, the German security forces foiled the plan to attack the coup and state institutions, and the security forces arrested 25 people in a nationwide operation.
According to reports, the suspects were arrested during raids in 11 German states, the arrested belonged to a group of far-right and ex-military figures, ex-soldiers preparing to seize power by attacking parliament.
Reports say that 22 people arrested belong to Germany while the other three people are also Russian citizens. Apart from this, two persons have been detained in Austria and Italy as well.
According to reports, supporters of the organization, which will be founded in 2021, do not recognize the German constitution, state institutions, and the group supports racist ideologies and is against modern Germany.
In this regard, the spokesperson of the German government says that our country is alert to the dangers of extremism.
