Jakarta: 20 people were killed in an earthquake in the island of Java, Indonesia.
According to the US Geological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.6 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was at a depth of 10 km in the West Java area. Earthquake tremors felt in Jakarta.
In foreign media reports, it has been mentioned with reference to the Indonesian authorities that several buildings collapsed due to the earthquake in the island of Java, Indonesia, on Monday morning. Many people are buried under the rubble of the buildings. Aftershocks were also felt in the area.
