New Delhi: A 10-year-old student who became a victim of gang violence in a boarding school in the Indian state of Maharashtra has become pregnant.
According to Indian media reports, 11 employees were arrested for having sex with a 10-year-old student in a boarding school named Ashramshala for rural children in Maharashtra.
According to the police, the incident that happened to the girl came to light when she went home on vacation to celebrate Diwali and during that time she complained to her family about stomach ache.
Later, during treatment in the hospital, the authorities confirmed the incident that happened to the girl. Proceedings under the Indian Penal Code have been initiated against him.
In the Indian state of Maharashtra, there are 1,000 schools under the name of Ashramshala for village children, where about four and a half lakh children are being educated, including 2 lakh girls.
The Indian opposition party, National Congress Party, while reacting to the incident, has demanded not only research but also medical examination of all the children in the schools.
