Dubai: In the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2022, India defeated Hong Kong by 40 runs and qualified for the next stage.
India had given Hong Kong a target of 193 runs to win, in pursuit of which Hong Kong lost five players. Babar Hayat scored 41 runs. Yesterday, Afghanistan qualified for the next stage from Group B. Indian player Surya Kumar batted aggressively and scored 68 runs off 26 balls which included six fours and six sixes while Virat Kohli scored 59 runs off 44 balls.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 21 runs while opener KL Rahul was dismissed for 36 runs. India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the first match of the event, while this is Hong Kong’s first match, the match between the two teams is being played in Dubai.
