Dehradun: In the Indian state of Uttarakhand, 25 people were killed and 20 injured after a wedding bus fell into a deep ravine.
According to Indian media, the police officials say that the accident took place in the Puri Garhwal area, where a Barati bus carrying 45 people was traveling along a mountain highway in Uttarakhand when it plunged into a 500-meter deep ditch, resulting in 25 people lost their lives.
According to Indian police 20 people missing in the accident have been rescued alive.Police say that those injured in the accident have been shifted to the hospital.
Explaining the cause of the accident, the police said that the accident occurred due to high speed. The Indian Prime Minister and the President expressed their grief over the accident and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
