Indonesia: A 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit

A 7.6-magnitude earthquake rocked the islands of the southern Indonesian province of Maluku, causing citizens to rush out of their homes.

According to foreign news agencies, 15 houses and 2 school buildings were damaged due to the earthquake, while one person was injured.

According to media reports, the tsunami warning issued after the earthquake has been withdrawn.

4 aftershocks were felt after the earthquake, one recorded as 5.5 magnitude.

Foreign media say that earthquake tremors have also been felt in the northern parts of Australia.
