Interpreting services in 50 languages to visitors at Masjid al-Haram

RIYADH: The Saudi government continues to strive to improve the quality of services for visitors to Haram Sharif.

An example of this came in a recent report which stated that Masjid Haram has employed employees and attendants who can speak and guide pilgrims and pilgrims in 50 languages. .

The Languages ​​and Translation Agency in the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Holy Mosque has completed its language and translation project and now the number of languages ​​in the corridors of the Holy Mosque has been increased to 50 world languages.

Translation facility is available 24 hours a day to pilgrims in these 22 languages. The Agency for Language and Translation aimed to provide services to pilgrims in their mother tongues and to help the inquirer to get an idea of ​​the places inside and outside the Masjid Haram. Guidance should be provided.

Timely guidance on prayer times, dates of tours, answers to questions about lectures and lessons, and inquiries can all be made in their mother tongue. That is why the translation project was started in Masjid Haram. In this project, the cooperation of government institutions and other partners was obtained.

The affairs of Masjid al-Haram are being managed by establishing contacts between the security authorities, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Saudi Red Crescent Authority and other institutions. The purpose of all this is to provide better facilities to the visitors of Masjid al-Haram.

The Director General of the General Administration of Languages ​​and Translation, Ahmed Al-Jamaei, emphasized that the agency is keen to raise the quality of services provided to pilgrims at Masjid Haram in order to maintain continuous improvement in the system.
