Washington: US National Security Adviser Jack Sloan has said that the US reiterates its emphasis on the need to counter the threats posed by Iran and its proxies in the region.
Yesterday in the White House, Sloan discussed with his Israeli counterpart, Eyal Holata, the importance of delimiting the sea border between Israel and Lebanon as soon as possible.
According to a statement from the White House, Jack Sloan said that steps are needed to reduce tensions in the West Bank and to improve the lives of Palestinians, these steps are indispensable for peace, security and prosperity.
On September 23, Sloan met with Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz at the White House and discussed Iran’s withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and regional activities.
According to the White House, Sloan and Gantz discussed at that time that the United States is determined not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Gantz repeatedly warned Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and his backer Iran to refrain from obstructing the maritime delimitation talks between Israel and Lebanon, as well as from doing any harm to the Karshfield platform avoid too.
