Iran: The warning of compulsory wearing of headscarves in the car for women is again issued

In Iran, warnings for women to wear headscarves in vehicles have been issued again.

According to foreign media reports, the message allegedly sent by the police on not wearing the hijab in the car says that it is important to take care of the society’s rule and ensure that this act is not repeated.

According to the report of Iranian media, the new phase of the “Nazir One Program” by the Iranian police has started in the whole of Iran.

The Nazir One program on not wearing the hijab in vehicles was launched in 2020, Iran’s morality police have a mandate to enter public areas to check enforcement of strict dress codes.

22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was arrested in Iran for not wearing a hijab, was allegedly tortured to death during detention, against which protests have been ongoing across Iran since September.
