Auckland: Former New Zealand star all-rounder Scott Styris has also termed Babar Azam as the number one batsman of the present era and said that it is very difficult for the bowlers to get him out.
Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam’s abilities are recognized worldwide and he played a brilliant innings of 68 runs against India in last year’s T20 World Cup.
Now the former New Zealand star all-rounder Scott Styris has also praised Babar Azam and said that Babar Azam is the number one batsman at the moment.
Explaining the trick to dismiss the national cricketer, the former Kiwi cricketer said that to dismiss Babar Azam, the bowlers will have to bowl a special ball as any mistake can take the ball out of bounds.
“I have to watch videos for hours to know Babar Azam’s weaknesses,” said Scott Styris.
On national team’s young fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi being out of the tournament, Scott Styris said that Shaheen is a talented bowler, not only India but all the top order batsmen will be happy to see Shaheen not play.
The former Kiwi cricketer said that in the absence of Shaheen Afridi, the chances of other teams to win the Asia Cup have increased.
