Landslides in Italy killed 7 people including 3 children, 5 are still missing

Rome: 7 people, including three children, were killed by landslides after heavy rains in the mountainous areas of Italy, while five people are still missing.

According to foreign media reports, more than two hundred citizens have been moved to safe places on Italy’s tourist destination Holiday Island due to heavy rains.

According to the authorities, a record 126 mm of rain fell on the island in six hours, landslides damaged buildings and many vehicles were swept into the sea. The government has announced 2 million euros in aid for the rehabilitation of the affected area.
