Chandigarh: An Indian army officer was involved in making indecent videos of female students in the bathroom of Chandigarh University in the Indian state of Punjab and went viral.
According to Indian media, the matter of making indecent videos of female students in Chandigarh University is becoming serious and new revelations are coming out during the investigation.
On the identification of the accused in custody, the Punjab Police has arrested an accused from Arunachal Pradesh who turned out to be an Indian Army officer on the charge of making and leaking a video.
Punjab Police has claimed that Sanjeev Singh, an Indian soldier belonging to Arunachal Pradesh, had escaped after the scandal came to light.

3 accused including a female student are already in the custody of Punjab Police in connection with the videos made in the bathroom of girls hostel of Chandigarh University. Among them are two young men from Himachal state, Rinkej Verma and Sunny Mehta.
According to the police, the arrested student had made videos and sent them to her friend in Himachal and these two youths made the videos viral. During the investigation, the youth uncovered another suspect who was arrested by the Arunachal Pradesh Police and who turned out to be an Indian Army officer.
A few days ago, when the video leak issue came to light, many students attempted suicide. It was being said that indecent videos of more than 60 female students had been made, but the Punjab Police had rejected this claim.
Police said that only one student had made private videos of herself and sent them to her friend in Himachal. No video of any other student in her mobile.
