Mahira Khan bagged the 'Best Actress' award at the Indian Film Festival

Delhi: Mahira Khan won the Best Actress Award at the Indian Film Festival for the short film Prince Charming.

Pakistan’s biggest superstar Mahira Khan recently won the best actress award for her short film ‘Prince Charming’ at the Indus Valley International Film Festival in New Delhi.

The short film was written and presented by Pakistani superstar Shahryar Manoor last year, which featured Mahira Khan and Zahid Ahmed together for the first time.

Prince Charming was presented in a very unique and creative way with a story based on post-marital depression which is a very real problem in our modern age.

Mahira Khan says that ‘this award is given to all those women who are suffering from depression after marriage and are silently bearing it’.

Mahira Khan said, “Our society doesn’t talk about it, we consider such topics as taboo and yet we are here.” I am happy that this character touched the hearts of the audience, it is one of those roles that will always be close to my heart. I would like to thank my dear friend Shehryar Munoor for trusting me.
