KYIV: Ukraine and Russia on February 24 carried out the largest prisoner exchange since the start of the conflict.
215 Ukrainian citizens, including 124 officers, have returned home as a result of the exchange, the POW Liaison Headquarters said. Troops from security services, state customs service and other agencies were also involved.
In addition, 2 citizens have been released under the exchange. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 10 foreign citizens have also been released from Russian prisons under the exchange. Ukraine and Russia exchanged their first prisoners on March 24.
