Yangon: Myanmar’s leader Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to another 7 years in prison for misuse of the government helicopter.

According to foreign media, Myanmar’s Nobel laureate leader Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to another 7 years in prison for using a government helicopter despite her resignation.
Myanmar’s 77-year-old leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s government was ousted last year. Suu Kyi has several corruption cases in which she has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s family and supporters have alleged that the military regime is trying to prevent Suu Kyi from running in next year’s elections by handing out such sentences. Myanmar’s leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been in jail since a military coup last year.
