Mumbai: Well-known Indian actress and dancer Noora Fathihi could not get permission to enter Bangladesh.
Noora Fatihi was scheduled to perform at a Women’s Leadership Corporation function in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Bangladeshi government has refused to allow them to save dollars under austerity measures.
According to the notice issued by the Ministry of Culture, in view of the global situation and the maintenance of foreign exchange reserves, Noora Fatihi has been denied permission to come to Dhaka.
Bangladesh’s Ministry of Culture also cited central bank restrictions on dollar payments and dwindling foreign exchange reserves in the notice.
