According to police sources, one woman gave birth to a daughter and another to a son in a local hospital in Rawalpindi. Both the families refused to accept the daughter after the newborn babies were switched.
Both families claim that the son is theirs. Rawalpindi Police has decided to conduct DNA test of the two newborns and their parents to solve the matter.
Both the children are present in the hospital nursery without their mother. The hospital administration is also investigating the incident on its own.
