Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited the international partners to visit the affected areas and said that the emergency cooperation of international institutions, organizations, countries and financial institutions is required.
An important meeting was held in the economic affairs division with international partners to help the flood victims under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday, in which the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance, International Development, donors including China, America and European Representatives of the countries, various subsidiary bodies of the United Nations and the World Health Organization participated in the meeting.
The Prime Minister said that the government of Pakistan will make arrangements for the visit of international partners to the affected areas. I am personally supervising the rescue, relief and rehabilitation activities from the first day. Prime Minister has set up the Flood Relief Fund 2022 to speed up the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the victims. With the help of international financial institutions and organizations, there will be great help in helping the victims.
He said that more than 2010, the flood has caused destruction, due to which the victims are in dire need of food, medicines, tents, temporary shelters, the federal government, provinces, central and provincial departments are working in cooperation and urgently. 5 billion rupees has been released, 1 million rupees is being paid to the family of each deceased, immediate cash payment of 25 thousand rupees is being made to the flood victims, which will cost 80 billion, from a total of 37 billion rupees. Excess amount will be spent on flood victims.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the magnitude of the flood disaster is so high that the federal or provincial governments alone cannot fully restore the victims, large parts of Sindh and Balochistan have already been declared disaster-prone, due to historic rains and floods. There is a state of emergency in the country and there has been a large loss of life, the infrastructure has been completely destroyed, there are difficulties in rescue and relief operations, the victims are in dire need of food, medicines, tents and temporary shelters.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed the international partners about the flood disasters across the country, especially in Sindh and Balochistan. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that there is a state of emergency in the country due to historic rains and floods and there has been a massive loss of life, including women and children, besides houses, property, crops, gardens and infrastructure. Communication roads have been washed away, bridges have been washed away and land routes have been cut, causing difficulties in rescue and relief operations. The scope of rescue and relief has been expanded with the help of Pakistan Army and helicopters

He said that the heart is very saddened by the difficult situation faced by the people as a result of the flood, we want to reach every affected Pakistani as soon as possible, help us with the availability of resources, including medical staff, necessary to deal with the situation. Supply of goods is required, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited international partners to visit the affected areas and said that the government of Pakistan will make arrangements for international partners to visit the affected areas.
