Regular Exercise Reduces Chances of Covid-19, Research

Pamplona: A global analysis has shown that regular exercise reduces the chances of contracting Covid-19 or being seriously affected by the virus.

According to an analytical report published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, regular physical activity is associated with lower risks of covid-19, its severity, hospitalization and mortality.

According to the research, 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week emerged as the best protection.

In the study, a team of Spanish researchers wrote that regular physical activity appears to be associated with negative Covid-19 outcomes. The team’s analysis found that people who exercised regularly were less likely to develop covid, hospital admissions from infection, covid severity and death from covid than those who did not exercise. .

Experts know that regular exercise has protective effects against acute respiratory infections, while vigorous physical activity is associated with a number of health benefits, including a reduced chance of developing obesity or type 2 diabetes.

Previous studies have shown that exercise can reduce both the risk and severity of respiratory infections by strengthening the immune system.
