According to Nick and Shayna Day from Florida, the ring was accidentally flushed down the toilet of Nick’s parents’ house 21 years ago.

Nick Day said Shayna came to him one day and said she thought she lost her ring. It was on the counter and may have accidentally slipped into the commode.
In a Facebook post, Shaina said that she was cleaning water on the counter with toilet paper when she lost the ring.
The couple said they tried everything they could to find the missing ring, but it was nowhere to be found. He never thought that it would be returned.
