A gunman entered a school in the Russian city of Ethivex and opened fire indiscriminately, killing 9 people.
According to a foreign news agency, 9 people were killed and 20 injured in a shooting incident at a school in Ethiwex. The dead include 5 students, 2 teachers and 2 security guards. On receiving information about the firing, police and security officials reached the spot and surrounded the school.
On the arrival of the police, the assailant shot himself and ended his life. The police said that the cause of the shooting incident has not yet been determined.
The dead and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Officials have expressed fear of an increase in the number of deaths. It should be noted that in recent years in Russia there has been an increase in school shootings. There were school shootings in May 2021 and April 2022.
