Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan says that there was a time in his career when no director and producer would give him work because of these allegations.
It is known about Bollywood’s Chhote Nawab actor Saif Ali Khan that in the beginning of his career, he used to drink alcohol and sleep during the shooting of the film and was not serious about the work at all.
However, after years, Saif Ali Khan denied these allegations in a recent interview saying that these rumors were spread about him because he was called a nepotism actor as his mother is a famous actress.
Chhote Nawab throughout his career was sometimes recommended by mother Sharmila Tagore and sometimes targeted for acting while there was a time when no one wanted to work with him.
Saif Ali Khan said that in 1992, he was offered Rahul Rawal’s film Bekhodi, in which Kajol was his competitor. Meanwhile, the news was spread that I am not serious about the film. I come to the seat drunk and sleep all day.
The actor said that ‘all these things are old now, but at that time these rumors worried me a lot’. Saif Ali Khan said that all these rumors not only damaged my image in front of everyone but also stopped me from offering films and all this was quite disturbing for me.
