Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has imposed fines on those who violate the online trade law.
According to foreign media, the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Twitter that fines were imposed on those who violated the law of online commerce, who were involved in the violation of the law regarding the advertising campaign.
24 people were fined for violating the online trading law, including 14 women.
The Ministry of Commerce said that the advertisers were guilty of fraudulent, misrepresentation, advertising illegal activities, they kept consumers unaware that what they were posting on social media was part of an advertising campaign.
The Ministry of Commerce said that the advertisement campaign that misleads the consumers will be taken into consideration in the future as well.
