Riyadh: 2 Omani citizens died in a traffic accident on their way to Makkah for Umrah.
According to private TV, the Omani embassy in Riyadh has confirmed the death of two of its citizens, while according to the Red Crescent of Makkah, the accident occurred as a result of a collision between a bus and a truck.
18 people were also injured in the accident. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for further treatment. According to the sources, some people have minor injuries while some people have got deep injuries.
The Omani embassy says that all the people on board the bus were Omani citizens, while legal proceedings have been initiated to transfer the bodies of the dead citizens to Oman.
