Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has allowed Umrah pilgrims to stay in the kingdom for three months.
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyyah, speaking on the occasion of his visit to Uzbekistan, said that the issuance of Umrah and Pilgrimage visas online has been made easier through the Nasik platform.
Now it is possible to issue Umrah visas more easily and quickly. Previously, the duration of Umrah visa was one month. Now Umrah pilgrims from any country in the world have been given the facility to stay in the kingdom for three months.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyya said that his visit to Uzbekistan is part of the unique, historical relations between the two countries. On this occasion, many cooperation agreements have been signed in various fields, including Hajj and Umrah.
The Saudi Minister said that in the last Hajj season, about 12 thousand people from Uzbekistan came for Hajj. Hajj quota has been increased after the end of Corona epidemic. He said that more than 36 thousand people have come from Uzbekistan during the last two months. Most of them visited the Prophet’s Mosque, and also saw the historical and religious places of Medina.
