Washington: After the Organization of the Oil Producing Countries (OPEC) announced a reduction in oil production last week, US President Joe Biden said that Saudi Arabia will suffer the consequences of the reduction in oil production.
American President Joe Biden said in an interview to the American channel that action will be taken against Saudi Arabia for reducing oil production by OPEC Plus. Saudi Arabia will suffer the consequences of the reduction in oil production.
The US President further criticized Saudi Arabia and said that the reduction in oil production will benefit Russia. President Joe Biden said that measures will be taken in this regard after consulting the Congress, but the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia will not be stopped.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has defended OPEC’s decision to cut oil production. The Saudi Foreign Minister says that OPEC’s decision has been made purely economically and by consensus. OPEC members have done their job responsibly and have taken the right decision.
