California: Oscar and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Sherman Obaid Chinoy is rumored to be directing her first science fiction Hollywood film.
Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy also directed the first mega-budget Hollywood American science fiction web series ‘Miss Marvel’.
Western media claimed that Sherman Obaid Chinoy will direct the sci-fi film ‘Brilliance’, which is being produced by Oscar-winning actor Will Smith among others.
The report said that the story of ‘Brilliance’ is based on Marcus Seki’s novel of the same name, the screenplay of which will be written by Akiva Goldsman, who will also co-produce the film.
The report claims that the said film will be produced by a number of people including Will Smith and will be released under the Paramount Pictures banner.
The report quoted sources as saying that Sherman Obaid Chinoy is currently engaged in talks with various companies producing the said film and the matters will probably be finalized in the next few weeks.
