Mogadishu: 35 people including 8 members of the same family were killed and more than 40 were injured in two car bomb blasts in the city of Mahas, Somalia.

Foreign news agencies quoted security officials and eyewitnesses as saying that two car bombs exploded in the town of Mahas in central Somalia. As a result of the explosions, 19 people were killed and many others were injured.
The security authorities surrounded the area and shifted the dead bodies and injured to the hospital. A search operation is underway at the spot. Officials have expressed fear of an increase in the number of deaths. No organization has claimed responsibility for the blasts so far.
