Somalia: An explosion in the capital Mogadishu, at least 8 civilians were killed, 5 injured

Mogadishu: At least 8 civilians were killed and more than 5 were injured in an explosion in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

According to a foreign news agency, a mine explosion in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu took place during a traffic jam on a busy road in Al Qaloo area in Wadajar district, killing at least 8 civilians and injuring more than 5 others.

No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, but al-Shabaab is believed to be involved. At least 11 people were killed in July after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance to a government building in southern Somalia were done.
