Social activist Faiza Hashmi, daughter of former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, was sentenced to 5 years in prison on charges of spreading anti-state propaganda and working against national security.
Faiza Hashmi was arrested during protests across the country following the death of Mahsa Amini, a girl in custody over the hijab issue.
They have been accused of indulging in acts against national security, spreading propaganda and disrupting public order.
