KARACHI: The Sri Lanka T20 tournament Lanka Premier League will start on December 6 in Hambantota. The opening match will be played between the defending champions Jaffna and Galle at 3 pm.
The first round of the tournament will consist of 20 matches to be played in Hambantota, followed by matches in Kandy and Colombo. The final round will also be played at the RPICS in Colombo.
The final of the league will be played on December 23 at RPICS, Colombo, while the first qualifier and eliminator will be held on December 21.
There is no break for the teams and players in the knockout round as the second qualifier will take place on December 22.
The Sri Lanka Premier League is Sri Lanka’s biggest domestic tournament which will consist of 24 matches with an international feature in which top local and international cricketers will participate.
In addition to Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik, Eoin Lewis, Carlos Braithwaite, Janmin Mullan, Dwayne Pretorius, D’Arcy Short and other players are also included in the tournament.
