This woman is going to create a new history in the Qatar Football World Cup

Doha: A lot has happened for the first time during the Qatar Football World Cup.

As this is the first time the tournament is being held in an Arab country, it is the first World Cup to be held in winter.

It is also being described as the most expensive World Cup in history, while it is also the last tournament with 32 teams.

But this is the first World Cup tournament in which a woman referee will supervise the match.

The match between Germany and Costa Rica of Group E will be supervised by the referee from France, Stéphane Frapert.

But the matter is not limited to this, a new history will be made in this match because the entire team of referees will be made up of women.

38-year-old Stephanie Frapert will be assisted by Brazilian Neuza Back and Mexican Karen Diaz.

Stephanie Frapert has previously made history at the tournament when she was the first female official (fourth official) in the match between Mexico and Poland.

She also had the honor of officiating as the first female referee in the men’s World Cup qualifiers in March 2021.

Likewise, in December 2020, she also became the first female referee to supervise a Champions League match.

It should be noted that today Spain will compete with Japan along with Germany and Costa Rica.

These two matches will start at 12 pm.

Before that, Group F matches will be played at 8 pm, in which Croatia will face Belgium while Morocco will face Canada.
